West Philly Native Quinta Brunson to Star in New Film She Will Also Co-Write and Produce

Quinta Brunson is soon to star alongside Stephanie Hsu in a new comedic film for Universal Pictures that she will also co-write and produce, writes Matt Grobar for Deadline.

While the plot details are still being kept under wraps at the moment, the film is called, “Par For the Course,” and will be based on an original idea from Brunson.

She is co-writing the script with Justin Tan, who will also be directing in his feature debut.

The film will be produced by Alex McAtee for Point Grey under the company’s first-look deal with Universal, while Brunson is producing for Fifth Chance.

“I’m so excited to be working with Point Grey and Universal on Par for the Course. This is a comedy close to my heart, and who better to do it with than some of the best producers in the game,” said Brunson. “I’ve known Seth, Evan, James and Alex for a while and I’m happy to finally work on a project together.”

Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg are co-founders of Point Grey, who are “so thrilled at the opportunity to get to work with Quinta,” Rogen said.

Brunson is the Emmy– and Golden Globe-winning creator, co-showrunner, head writer, EP, and star of ABC hit mockumentary “Abbott Elementary.”
