Quakertown’s Sabrina Carpenter and Jenna Ortega Shock Fans in New ‘Taste’ Music Video
Quakertown-born Sabrina Carpenter’s new music video for “Taste” has made waves with its gory and graphic visuals, featuring Jenna Ortega, writes Kristin Hunt for The Philly Voice.
The video, released on Friday, portrays Carpenter and Ortega as rivals locked in a violent struggle over a nameless boyfriend, with scenes reminiscent of the dark comedy film “Death Becomes Her.”
The video’s dark humor and graphic content align with the lyrics of “Taste,” where Carpenter warns an ex’s new partner, “you’ll just have to taste me while he’s kissing you.”
Released alongside her sixth studio album, Short ‘n Sweet, the video has quickly garnered attention for its bold, boundary-pushing approach.
Carpenter praised Ortega on Instagram, calling her a “dream come true” to work with.
