Power Up Your Business Through In-Person Networking & LinkedIn

Michelle Snow – GrowWithSnow.com

Would you like to power up your Philly Area business and wake up winning as an entrepreneur who generates six figures to $3M annually? Say YES!

Would you like to build and maintain new relationships through the power of connection on LinkedIn? Say YES!

I was extremely excited to learn about a local Montgomery County Business Breakfast on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, from 9:00-11:30 AM with someone so full of energy and who creates the ripple effect everywhere she goes. Let me introduce you to Michelle Snow.

Not only will I be at this event, but I will also share some impactful LinkedIn tips for entrepreneurs and small business owners. If you are free and want to attend, contact [email protected], as there are no walk-ins.

If you are not local or cannot make it, I’ll still share some LinkedIn tips.

In previous articles, I shared some considerations for writing the About section.

One article was on Unique and Useful Ways on How to Present Storytelling on LinkedIn, and I suggested that dense paragraphs should not be included in the About section. Instead, create bullet points, add white space, add emojis for a pop of color, and make it skimmable and scannable.

In another article, I provided A Formula on How to Format Your About Section on LinkedIn. Take a look at Christie Calahan’s profile, which demonstrates an About section similar to this formula. You can see the finished look.

While she is seeking her next full-time job opportunity, she is offering freelance marketing work. Look at how she has formatted her specialities and technical skills in the experience section on her profile under Calahan Koomera. Although all those technical skills would not fit in the About section with the other content, she could have put them there.

Most of those software skills do not have many jobs in LinkedIn’s database for job seekers, but they are still searchable as keywords and should still be included on the profile.

Another style for an About section for an entrepreneur business coach is on the profile of Charles Watkins III. Use capital letters to create sections and write copy underneath in bullet points to be concise. Emojis make it far more visually appealing to the eye, especially when the text shrinks on a mobile device.

Other category options that you can see in the Experience section include:

? HOW WE WORK TOGETHER

? BEGIN COACHING

Maybe these categories fit you and your business, or maybe you need to customize them furtherto showcase your value proposition. Nonetheless, you need to know that the bullet points were copyied and pasted from a Word document, as LinkedIn does not have those Word processing capabilities.

I hope these examples will plant some seeds to grow new ideas on your LinkedIn profile! Happy networking!
