Operation Rebrand on LinkedIn

Sometimes, it’s the foreplay and the teasers that make things fun, especially when change is about to happen. Operation Rebrand is about to happen.

Sometimes, it’s the foreplay and the teasers that make things fun, especially when change is about to happen. Operation Rebrand is about to happen.

The 1979 Heinz Ketchup commercial with Carly Simon singing Anticipation kept mulling around in my head.

In 1993, I registered a company in California called Around the Clock Executive Helper. I re-registered the same name when I moved back to Chester County, Pennsylvania, in 1994.

The virtual assistance business has changed and evolved over 30 years, and it is time for a change.

It is still mostly virtual, but the niche is focuses on resumes, LinkedIn (personal profiles, company pages, individual and corporate training), and keywords.

I am a writer and a speaker on career topics related to personal branding in those niche areas for people who are unemployed, self-employed, and employed at all levels.

So, after 30 years, I decided to set up a new business name and rebrand. It was long overdue. Welcome to Career News Today LLC.

Thanks to the creative talent of graphic designer Dan Milbourne, I have a new logo, and my new business cards are forthcoming from NuPrint Solutions. Although Dan lives in Pennsylvania, he is an Aussie.

Thanks to my good friend, Roy Kowarski, he hooked me up with some stellar promotional items. Roy knows how to help build brand awareness! He is originally from South Africa but lives in Australia and helps people globally!

What’s with these Aussie guys? They have some fantastic talent!

When you are on LinkedIn, you make friends with people locally and around the world and do business with people you know, like, and trust.

When my package of goodies comes in, I will share more about Roy!

My virtual assistant moved to Missouri, and after getting settled, she took a part-time job. So, I am so excited to welcome back Kat Shaw with open arms to help me launch my rebrand. I gave her no advanced notice, so stay tuned! We worked together for three years, and we definitely vibe together! By the way, she is taking on new clients!

When you think about your brand on LinkedIn, you must consider the color you wear in your photo, the color in your banner, and, the color of your logo if you are a business owner.

You can learn more about color in Tips on How to Build Your LinkedIn Color Brand.

I decided to make my logo black and white because I felt the news was black and white, and I wanted to weave color into my social media so I would not be limited to having some fun with color.

Many people have not yet customized their LinkedIn banners, and they should take the time to do so. Here are some step-by-step instructions.

If you are a business owner, there is no reason why you should not have a free LinkedIn company page. Here are step-by-step instructions on how to create your company page.

When you rebrand, you must create the graphics, the new company name, and some verbiage. Get a Canva account or a virtual assistant who knows how to use Canva. If you need help with words, ChatGPT may provide some good fodder to kick you off!

I will probably revisit my unique selling proposition (USP) for my headline, but my client work comes first. Stay tuned for more changes.

Here comes David Bowie in my head … ch, ch, ch, ch, changes.

As they say, Rome wasn’t built in a day.
