Navy Federal Credit Union has opened a new branch in Bensalem as part of its ongoing regional expansion, writes Jeff Blumenthal for the Philadelphia Business Journal.
This marks Navy Federal’s third branch in the Philadelphia area, with another planned for South Philadelphia.
The decision to open in Bensalem was driven by the area’s significant veteran population, with 60,000 veterans residing within a 30-minute drive.
The branch aims to serve 43,000 existing Navy Federal members, providing them with enhanced services, including an express service area, a walk-up ATM, and two drive-through ATMs.
The new branch is expected to boost local membership, reflecting Navy Federal’s commitment to expanding its presence and providing face-to-face banking services to its members.
The South Philadelphia branch, slated to open at Whitman Plaza, is part of this broader expansion plan, with another location expected by late 2025 or early 2026.
