Bucks County ranks second in Pennsylvania for purchasing power, according to SmartAsset’s annual “Cost of Living Calculator."

Bucks County ranks second in Pennsylvania for purchasing power, just behind Delaware County, according to SmartAsset’s annual “Cost of Living Calculator,” writes Claudia Dimuro for Penn Live.  

This distinction highlights the county’s strong economic standing and the high value residents get for their money. 

SmartAsset’s findings are based on median income and income taxes, using data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics 2022 Consumer Expenditure Survey. Bucks County’s favorable ranking is based on its balance of solid income levels and reasonable living costs. 

The county’s impressive purchasing power is a significant draw for individuals and families seeking financial stability and a high quality of life.  

In contrast, Cameron County boasts the lowest cost of living, and Chester County leads in median income.
