A proposal for a 150,000-square-foot warehouse in Buckingham Township is set for review by township supervisors on July 24, writes Michele Haddon for the Bucks County Courier Times.
Developer J.G. Petrucci Company from Asbury, New Jersey, has submitted preliminary land development plans for the DiGirolamo Tract.
The plans include 30 truck bays, two parking areas, and dual access drives.
The township planning commission recommended the proposal in May, with a 5-1 vote. However, the project has sparked considerable debate among local residents.
The group “Stop the Warehouse,” which has over 1,600 members, has voiced concerns about potential traffic, safety, and environmental impacts.
The developer, J.G. Petrucci Company, has stated its intention to adhere to all regulations and address concerns throughout the process.
The meeting is expected to have high attendance, with arrangements for overflow seating and a Zoom livestream.
