SEPTA Regional Rail commuters will soon need to pay for parking once again, following a pandemic-era measure.

SEPTA Regional Rail commuters will soon need to pay for parking once again, writes Dino Ciliberti for the Patch.

SEPTA has announced the end of free parking at its parking lots, which had been a pandemic-era measure.

The reintroduction of paid parking will impact various Regional Rail Lines in Bucks County and beyond. The Warminster Line, serving Hatboro and Warminster, and the Trenton Line, with stops in Bristol, Croydon, and Bensalem, are among the affected routes.

“During our budget hearings last month, we stated that we would return to paid parking at our lots at some point during the upcoming fiscal year,” said Andrew Busch, SEPTA’s director of media relations.

While no specific date has been set, Busch assured that an extensive public outreach campaign will precede the change to ensure riders are well-informed and can plan accordingly.
