Bensalem High School’s senior class held a heartfelt celebration to honor a late classmate they didn’t get to know, writes Nick Iadonisi for 6 ABC.

The Pasquarella family lost their daughter, Sophia, to leukemia when she was just 8 years old. To commemorate the milestone Sophia would have achieved this year, they hosted a special pre-graduation party for the seniors.

“It’s been my mission to keep Sophia’s legacy alive since she passed away. I’ll continue organizing events like this for as long as I can,” said Pete Pasquarella, Sophia’s father.

The event was deeply meaningful for many students, including Colin Maloney, a senior at Bensalem High School, who met Sophia in second grade. ” It really touches my heart how such a beautiful soul can be remembered this way…she’ll never be forgotten,” he shared.

This special event ensured that Sophia’s memory remains a cherished part of the Bensalem High School community.
