For families looking for ways to entertain their kids while staying out of the heat, Bucks County offers several fun indoor options, writes Michele Haddon for the Bucks County Courier Times.

One great destination is Playpad Bucks in Langhorne. This indoor play space features climbing equipment, slides, a sensory room, a toddler area, and the “My Town” imagination center.

Giggleberry Fair in Lahaska is another family-friendly venue, featuring a fully restored 1922 carousel, an imaginative play area for toddlers, a large obstacle course for kids under 12, and a game room.

Penn’s Little Village at the Langhorne Library provides a space for toddlers and preschoolers to explore miniature versions of real-world locations like a camper, a service station, a market, and a firehouse.

Career Corner at the Yardley-Makefield Library in Yardley allows young children to role-play different careers in miniature settings like a family diner, a pet salon, and a construction site. Like Penn’s Little Village, admission is free, offering another cost-effective way to keep kids entertained indoors.

With these fantastic indoor activities, families in Bucks County can stay cool and have fun despite the heat wave.
