Central Bucks East’s baseball team has reached a historic milestone by qualifying for the PIAA state playoffs for the first time, writes Tom Moore for the Bucks County Courier Times.
This achievement is fueled by the long-standing unity and camaraderie among its core players, who have been teammates since childhood.
Seniors Chase Harlan, Sam Bliss, Damian Frayne, and juniors Nolan Behm, Colin Lynch, and Jack Thompson, along with senior Jack Mislan, have played together since their days on the Doylestown Tigers youth team, winning regional and state championships.
Their familiarity and mutual support have been crucial during the challenging season, helping them clinch third place in the District One Class 6A tournament.
As the Patriots prepare to face Hazleton in the state playoffs, Bliss reflected on their journey, “Having a lot of success in our formative years gave us a winning pedigree.”
The team’s confidence is palpable, driven by their shared history and the motivation to achieve new heights together.
