Bucks County Independence Day Guide: Festivities and Fireworks

Independence Day in Bucks County will see a range of exciting local events, including parades and fireworks.

Independence Day in Bucks County will see a range of exciting local events, writes Katherine Cressman for the Bucks County Courier Times.  

Peddler’s Village in Lahaska kicks off the festivities with its annual Red, White, and Blue BBQ Bash starting July 4. This four-day event offers blueberry treats, live music, family activities, lawn games, pony rides, and more. 

Washington Crossing Historic Park in Upper Makefield will host Living History Day on July 4, featuring readings of the Declaration of Independence, craft demonstrations, and a military encampment. The event runs from noon to 4 PM, with pre-registration recommended. 

Styer Orchard in Middletown celebrates with a July 4th event from 4 PM to 9 PM. Attendees can enjoy a DJ, games, face painting, a parade, hayrides, and a choir performance. Tickets are $4 and can be purchased on Styer Orchard’s Facebook page. 

The Tri-Municipal 4th of July parade will start at 9:30 AM, beginning at the Town Center in New Britain Borough and ending at North Branch Park in Chalfont. Attendees should bring lawn chairs to enjoy the event. 

Fonthill Castle in Doylestown offers an Old-Fashioned Fourth of July celebration from noon to 4 PM, featuring food, entertainment, games, live music, and a children’s decorated bike parade.  

Tickets are available online or at the door for cash only.
