Surfside, the Philadelphia-based Canned Cocktail Brand, Expands and Adds New Flavors
The Philadelphia-based canned cocktail brand, Surfside, is expanding across the United States and adding several new flavors, writes Franki Rudnesky for PhillyVoice.
Surfside has expanded its distribution to 48 states. To put it into perspective, the brand was available in only seven states at the beginning of 2023.
To commemorate the upcoming summer season, Surfside is launching five new flavors: raspberry lemonade, strawberry lemonade, black cherry lemonade, raspberry tea, and green tea.
In addition, the brand is also releasing a new lemonade variety eight-pack.
“This is an incredibly exciting time for us as our mission from day one has been to build Surfside into a true national brand,” Surfside CEO Clement Pappas said in a release.
He added that the new drinks and flavors were highly-requested by fans and is the brand’s “way of showing love and appreciation for those who have helped us get there,” Pappas added.
Surfside was founded in 2022 by Pappas and his brother, Zach, and another pair of brothers from Philly, Matt and Bryan Quigley.
They are also responsible for Stateside Vodka, the award-winning distillery and cocktail lounge in Kensington.
Last year, Forbes described Surfside as the “fastest-growing canned cocktail,” selling 1.3 million cases in 2023. This represented a 563 percent increase over the previous year’s sales.
