The 2024 Bucks County Designer House & Gardens will feature the historic Sycamore Lane Farm, a 45-acre property in Hilltown, writes Michele Haddon for the Bucks County Courier Times.

Over 30 local designers and landscapers had the task of transforming the home for the 48th tour.

The designer house is the Village Improvement Association of Doylestown’s largest fundraiser. The organization benefits Doylestown Health and “enhance the health and welfare of Central Bucks County and surrounding communities.”

This year’s home is owned by Scott and Gina Rubel, and has been in their family for over six decades, starting with Scott’s parents, Walter and Gayle.

The farm dates back to 1900 and was once home to American illustrator John Falter, best known for designing and illustrating Saturday Evening Post covers.

During the preparations for the tour, designers and landscapers remodeled 35 design spaces and 14 landscape areas.

Public tours and special events will take place through May 26. There will also be a market set up inside the bank barn where visitors can shop for designer décor.
