Sycamore Lane Farm in Hilltown Township will open its doors to the public as the 48th Bucks County Designer House & Gardens on April 26 with a grand onsite preview gala, writes Jeff Werner for the Patch.

Afterward, tours of the house and gardens will run from April 28 to May 26. Tickets for both the gala and tours are currently available through the Designer House website.

Sycamore Lane Farm has been owned by the same family for over six decades. The latest generation of owners has implemented a major renovation including a stunning addition with a glass conservatory, new chef’s kitchen, and an elegant primary suite.

The 45 acres of rolling hills and farmland are just as impressive and feature many outer buildings, such as an artist’s studio, milk house, smokehouse, bank barn, and a spring house.

The property also has a historic element: from 1938 until 1953 it was home to renowned illustrator John Falter, who painted 129 covers for Saturday Evening Post in the artist’s studio.

During tours, the farm will host fourteen boutiques, an art and antiques gallery, and a cafe.
