This Bucks County Suburb Named Among the Best in Philadelphia

This Bucks County community received an A+ on a ranking of Philadelphia region towns.

One Bucks County township has found its place among the 25 best suburbs in Philadelphia, according to a recently released report from Stacker.

Stacker used data provided by Niche to determine the best suburbs in Philadelphia. Niche used several metrics to rank suburbs across the U.S., including diversity, the cost of living, the share of the population with college degrees, and the quality of schools and housing.

Buckingham Township ranked at No. 24.

The charming suburb has a population of 20,820, a median home value of $644,300, and a median rental price of $1,475.

It is close to several top schools, including Central Bucks High School – East and Central Bucks High School – West, both of which received an A+ grade from Niche, and Linden Elementary School, which received an A grade.

The township is also near several top private schools, such as George School and Solebury School, both with an A+ grade, and Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School, with an A grade.

Buckingham Township received an overall Niche grade of A+. Its outdoor activities were rated A and the cost of living received a B-. Weather received the slightly lower grade of C+.
