The Wycombe House has officially returned to the market, writes Emma Dooling for the Philadelphia Business Journal.
The property, initially expected to sell earlier this year, is now listed for $2.4 million.
This price includes the restaurant business, its liquor license, and all associated equipment and inventory.
Owner Jerry Driscoll, who bought the establishment in February 2022 for $700,000, renamed it from Wycombe Publick House to Wycombe House following renovations
These updates included a complete interior overhaul, paving of the parking lot, and a new roof.
Under Driscoll’s management, the restaurant served American cuisine with a Southern flair for a year before he decided to sell.
The building, constructed in 1902 and encompassing 5,197 square feet, can host up to 153 guests.
It features two floors of indoor dining, a private party area on the second floor, and an outdoor dining space complete with a fire pit and bar.
Broker Ralph Rizziello, from Keller Williams Realty, noted that a previous sale attempt failed late last year when a private investor withdrew support.
Despite this setback, Rizziello remains optimistic about the property’s future as a dining venue, citing its century-long history as a community gathering spot.
