TeaVa Rolls, a new Vietnamese eatery, is now serving Doylestown, with a refreshing take on traditional Vietnamese cuisine, writes Ed Doyle for TapintoDoylestown.

The restaurant opened its doors in mid-March near the Restore marijuana dispensary.

Behind TeaVa Rolls are Nikki and Danny Truong, a dynamic husband-and-wife team. Nikki’s parents ran a food truck in New York and a fruit salad cart in Philadelphia.

Danny, who recently stepped away from the corporate world, aims to introduce the lighter, more flavorful aspects of Vietnamese food.

They’re supported by partners Quinny Tran and Katie Pham.

The menu at TeaVa Rolls diverges from the heavier, Americanized versions of Vietnamese cuisine, focusing instead on the freshness and lightness that traditional dishes offer.

Patrons can enjoy customizable summer rolls and rice or noodle bowls.

Unique to TeaVa Rolls are their three dipping sauces, including a vegetarian fish sauce made with pineapple, a peanut-free hoisin sauce, and the tangy-sweet Red River sauce that combines Korean and Vietnamese flavors.

Adding to the charm of TeaVa Rolls is a large mural, commissioned by Truong from an artist in Vietnam.
