The Phillips’ Mill Community Association is hosting its 31st annual Photography Exhibition in Solebury Township, featuring 135 contemporary works, writes Jeff Werner for the Patch.

The exhibition, curated by renowned fine art and documentary photographer Thom Goertel, includes genres ranging from portraiture to abstraction.

Goertel, whose experience spans global assignments, selected the showcased works for their initial visual impact and thematic significance.

Debbie Wolf’s “Early Morning Ritual” clinched the “Best in Show” award, while Joshua Ackerman and Elizabeth Jacobs received second and third prizes respectively for their distinctive pieces.

Local artist Jennifer Gershon was honored with the “Best Body of Work” for her trio of portraits that blend surreal and film-noire elements.

The exhibition also features works by other local talents, including Lisa Stolzer, whose “Morning’s Necklace” won in the Nature category, and Christopher Bosse, recognized for his portrait “Contemplation.”

The Phillips’ Mill exhibition runs through April 19, with viewing opportunities from Wednesday to Sunday.
