Habitat for Humanity of Bucks County celebrated a landmark achievement last week by dedicating its 129th home.

Habitat for Humanity of Bucks County celebrated a landmark achievement last week by dedicating its 129th home, notably the first on the site of the old St. Thomas Aquinas School, writes Tom Sofield for Levittown Now.

This event heralded a fresh start for a family who, after months of anticipation, were handed the keys to their new home on Walnut Avenue in Bristol Township’s Croydon area.

The project was supported by contributions from various donors, including significant backing from the Bucks County Department of Housing and Community Development, local businesses, and federal funding.

Before the family’s move, Father David Fernandes of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church blessed the house. This home introduces Habitat for Humanity’s innovative land trust model in Bucks County.

With two more homes underway at the former school location, the nonprofit continues its mission.
