24-Unit Apartment Buildings Proposed for Former Site of Levittown Lanes Bowling Alley
The site of the former Levittown Lanes bowling alley, devastated by fire in 2022, is slated for transformation into a residential complex, writes Tom Sofield for Levittown Now.
Property owners Al and Mary Episcopo have unveiled plans to erect a three-story apartment building comprising 24 units.
This proposal was shared with residents through a letter, excerpts of which were disseminated on the “What’s Up In Falls Township” Facebook group.
The proposed redevelopment, necessitating various zoning variances, will be presented to the Falls Township Zoning Hearing Board.
The Episcopos seek approval for multi-family use, construction specifics, and parking provisions.
The project envisions repurposing the .8-acre site of the former bowling alley and a .6-acre parking lot for new residential and parking spaces respectively.
This move comes after the loss of Levittown Lanes and the attached Band Box bar, landmarks since the 1950s.
