The Speckled Egg Cafe at the popular open-air Rice’s Market near Lahaksa made a top spot for USA Today’s Restaurant of the Year 2024.  

This cozy and charming kitchen serves the Rice’s Market shoppers on Tuesdays and Saturdays, writes Michele Haddon for the Bucks County Courier Times.  

Tony Artur and Chef Megan Loos opened the original cafe in 2021 at Golden Nugget Antique Flea Market in Lambertville, New Jersey. They moved to Rice’s in 2022.  

The rotating menu offers many hot handheld meals like breakfast sandwiches, hot dogs, and burgers and global fair including banh mi, or the delectable chicken shwarma burger topped with feta cheese, labneh, onions, cucumbers and cilantro.  

Mini baked donuts are also a popular menu item, including seasonal flavors, such as sesame rosewater.
