Paxson Hill Farm in Solebury, a popular Bucks County spot that attracted visitors for years, has suddenly announced it was closing for good, writes Michele Haddon for the Bucks County Courier Times.

“We are closed and will post the dates of our estate sale, which will be at the beginning of March, when they’re confirmed,” posted the farm on its Facebook page.

In the days after the post was published, it was met with hundreds of comments from its supporters who expressed their sadness and disappointment.

Paxson Hill Farm responded to several comments, noting that it was closing permanently and would be going up for sale due to “a poorly written/planned will.”

The farm’s owner, David McShane, died in June. He bought the 30-acre farm in 1997 for $1.5 million.

In the following decades, Bruce Gangawer, landscape architect and lead designer of Paxson Hill Farms, cultivated the walking gardens on the property where visitors could explore gorgeous flowers, lush greenery, many pathways, streams, ponds, ornate statues, local wildlife, and so much more.
