Many new dining and drinking establishments opened in Philadelphia in the last three months, some of them costing upward of $10 million, writes Michael Klein for The Philadelphia Inquirer.

Here is a rundown of some of the new local restaurant openings.

For example, Mr. Rabbit recently opened in Fitler Square. It is owned by Cary Borish and Mike Parsell, who have turned the former dry cleaner’s across the street into a bright coffee shop that also provides a variety of bread and pastries. Parsell and Borish also recently opened Pizza Richmond, a similar neighborhood amenity in Port Richmond.

Mr. Pig is a new K-BBQ destination on the edge of Philadelphia’s Chinatown. Owned by Dan Ngo and his wife Eun Park, Mr. Pig is one of the largest and liveliest among the new tabletop experiences.

Washington, D.C.-based sushi chef Minoru Ogawa has entered the Philadelphia dining scene with Ogawa Sushi & Kappo. The Old City eatery offers 23-course, $200-a-head omakase experiences.

Shiso is South Street’s newest sushi-ramen spot. Alan Su of Nom Nom Ramen and Umami Steak & Sushi Bar turned the former Serpico into a showcase for one of the city’s great unsung sushi chefs, Yonten Gyamtso.

Mike Solomonov and Steve Cook have also expanded and reopened their Tel Aviv-inspired Dizengoff in Rittenhouse Square.
