An esteemed Italian market based near Quakertown is announcing its plans for expansion in Bucks County, writes Ryan Kneller for WFMZ 69 News.

Mercatino Italiano in Richland Township revealed a few months ago, that it was planning to open a second location in Northampton County and now it has its eyes on the Dublin Town Center.

It will operate under the auspices of Mercatino Pronto! in a renovated space formerly occupied by gourmet wellness cafe Farm to Toast, and pancake mix business Wheat & Vine Provisions.

Farm to Toast has since relocated to another space in the building.

Mercatino Italiano is known for selling imported items along with freshly made meals.

It was out of the 40-year-old business Giovanni’s Pizza, which thrived during the COVID-19 pandemic due to soaring demand for to-go meals.

The owners, inspired by a passion for Italian cuisine sparked by a college semester in Florence, opened Mercatino Italiano to bring Italian-imported pasta, pastries, and specialties to their community.

The market features specialty sandwiches, entrees, desserts, and a selection of Italian groceries.
