Doylestown trainer Victoria Schade is behind the seamless display of athletic puppy prowess in the heartwarming spectacle of the Puppy Bowl, writes Rita Giordano for The Philadelphia Inquirer.  

Every year, the event dazzles fans as over 100 adorable puppies engage in playful antics on a miniature football field. With 18 years as the show’s lead puppy trainer and wrangler, Schade ensures the event runs smoothly, even managing to include special-needs puppies in the fun. 

Schade’s expertise in reading animal behavior and her arsenal of training treats and toys keep the puppies engaged, happy, and safe. 

Her approach is nuanced, recognizing when a puppy needs a break before any signs of stress emerge.  

Beyond her role in the Puppy Bowl, Schade has contributed significantly to the animal training community through her books and advocacy for rescue animals.
