A volunteer for Trevose-based nonprofit CATS Bridge to the Rescue is getting recognized for her community involvement with a special award.

Delmarva Power Senior Business Analyst Linda Lamberson won Exelon’s Powering Communities Employee Volunteer Award for her volunteerism.

Lamberson adopted a cat from the organization 15 years ago and has sought to make a difference since then. At the non-profit, she trains volunteers, takes photos of adoptable cats and spearheads new programs and initiatives.

“Linda has something when she walks into a room – even the cats come running over to her because they know her voice — it’s the cutest thing!” said Margaret Vautard, the Executive Director of CATS Bridge to the Rescue.

The non-profit also won a $5,000 grant for its rescue missions.
