Solebury township officers responded to a harrowing call that eventually led to saving a woman’s life, writes Aqsa Younas Rana for BNN.

Officer Brendan Murphy, who was the first to respond to the 4:30 AM call, found a woman perched on the railing of the Lumberville-Raven Rock Pedestrian Bridge, dangerously close to the edge, elevated above the Delaware River.

Murphy was able to use his previous training to deescalate the situation. Officer Patrick Dorsey later joined after rushing to the scene from the other side of town.

Together, the two officers used their crisis management skills to pull the woman back over the railing.

Their efforts were recognized by Chief Dominick Bellizzie who commended the duo for their successful teamwork.
