There are dozens upon dozens of great pizza places in Philadelphia, but some truly stand out, including these 10 must-try spots, writes Patrick Berkery for The Keystone.

For classic red pies and unique twists on white pies head to Angelo’s Pizzeria in South Philadelphia.

Alex’s Pizza in Roxborough serves up thin and crispy classic pizza that is a local favorite, while Circles + Squares in Fishtown offers one of the best grandma-style pan pizzas in Philadelphia.

CJ and D’s Trenton Tomato Pies at Cartesian Brewing in South Philly serves the Trenton-style take on pizza also known as the tomato pie.

Pizzas at Dough Head in South Philly have some of the best fusions of ingredients, and Marra’s in South Philly serves up an amazing large red pie with roasted red peppers and pepperoni.

For a fantastic pie, be sure to stop by O.G. Pizza in Fishtown.

Meanwhile, Pizzeria Beddia in Fishtown offers tasty seasonal pies, and Santucci’s Original Square Pizza, with several locations throughout the city, has been one of the city’s best purveyors of square pizzas for over six decades.

Finally, Tacconelli’s Pizzeria in Port Richmond has been serving thin and crispy pies since 1946.
