In honor of Women's History Month, the resting spot of Pearl S. Buck can be found at Green Hills Farm Grounds in Perkasie.

Pearl S. Buck International in Perkasie will celebrate its 60th anniversary with a slate of events and programming that will take place throughout the year, according to a staff report from The Reporter.

The organization was founded in 1964 by Nobel and Pulitzer Prize-winning author, humanitarian, and activist Pearl S. Buck.

Programming will open with a special limited exhibit, Hidden Gems: Fashioning A Legacy, on March 15. The exhibit at the historic Pearl S. Buck Estate will showcase her collection of American and Asian fashion, jewelry, hand fans, and other archival material.

The Pearl S. Buck Estate will host a special gala on May 16 to both celebrate the anniversary and share six decades of its humanitarian, intercultural, and educational work.

Pearl S. Buck International’s Living the Legacy Breakfast: 60 Years will return on June 26, Buck’s birthday.

Meanwhile, the organization will host the Pearl S. Buck Symposium from September 26 to 28 at various locations around upper Bucks County.

More events are planned to take place throughout the year, such as the expanded High School Global Leadership Program over the summer.
