Bucks County agencies are collaborating to support women with children through the Pathways to Housing Program.

The Bucks County Opportunity Council and the Bucks County Children and Youth Social Services Agency are collaborating to support women with children who are transitioning into temporary housing, according to TapIntoDoylestown.

This initiative, part of the Pathways to Housing Program, focuses on assisting these women as they search for permanent homes.

To facilitate this transition, a comprehensive wish list has been compiled, detailing essential items required to set up a new household.

This list, accessible via a SignUpGenius page, encompasses a range of necessities including bedding, diapers, and various kitchen items. Importantly, all donations must be new and in original packaging.

Contributions can be made at the Bucks County Opportunity Council’s Doylestown office, located at 100 Doyle Street. The office welcomes donations from Monday to Friday, between 9 AM and 4 PM.

The Bucks County Opportunity Council, established as part of Lyndon Johnson’s 1965 War on Poverty, strives to alleviate poverty and encourage self-reliance. This initiative is part of its broader mission within a national network of over 1,000 agencies.

Similarly, the Bucks County Children and Youth Social Services Agency, originally the Bucks County Department of Child Welfare, was founded in 1965 to cater to the needs of children and families.
