Rising Stars of Central Bucks East Football Make 6A All-State Team
Three Central Bucks East football players from Class 6A have made the Pennsylvania Sportswriters Class 6A All-State Football Team, writes Tom Moore for the Bucks County Courier Times.
Central Bucks East’s senior tight end Jack Donnelly made a repeat appearance on the list, while senior running back Anthony Leonardi from Central Bucks South and junior offensive lineman Michael Carroll from Central Bucks East made their first appearances on the 6A list.
This season, Donnelly recorded 49 catches for 605 yards and seven touchdowns for the Patriots. He wrapped up his high school career as a holder of ten school records. He will continue playing at Penn.
Leonardi finished the year as the second player in Central Bucks South history to rush for 2,000 yards in one season. The 5-11, 180-pounder accumulated 20 touchdowns while rushing 2,006 yards on 214 carries.
Meanwhile, Carroll recorded a team-leading 37 pancake blocks for his team and is among the most highly recruited junior linemen nationwide. The 6-6, 298-pounder is quick and terrific pulling as a lead blocker.
