The newly opened UrbanSun in Doylestown, the sister store of Serendipity Shops on Main Street, caters mainly to younger shoppers, writes Ed Doyle for TAPinto Doylestown.

Nicole Beltz, who co-owns both stores, and her business partner Ryan Miller noticed an increase in young shoppers on the streets of Doylestown. Their growing presence at Serendipity, which sells merchandise for a wide audience, convinced the pair that young people needed a store aimed specifically at them.

“The kids and teens had really been just buying so much that it was taking over Serendipity,” said Beltz. “We wanted to have a space where our younger shoppers could have more offerings and more space to explore without completely taking over Serendipity.”

The new shop, which has been open for two weeks, offers a wide range of products geared toward younger shoppers, from clothing and jewelry to accessories and gifts. Many of the items are priced under $20.

According to Beltz, surf jewelry is always a big seller, but the UrbanSun brand, created specifically for the new shop, is also quickly becoming a favorite.

The brand is aimed at evoking images of Doylestown (Urban) along with images of positivity and brightness (Sun).
