Sports Connection, with locations in New Britain and Doylestown, is offering cash back on all purchases of $400 or more made from Black Friday through Christmas if the Eagles win the Super Bowl on Feb. 11, 2024, writes Michele Haddon for the Bucks County Courier Times.
Despite possibly having to refund more than a million dollars come February, John and Jessica Calvecchio, the shop’s owners, are still excited to cheer on the Birds.
This is not the first year the shop is running this promotion. They launched it originally last year.
“Last year, we had a huge Super Bowl party,” said John. “We really wanted them to win. And to have been able to give the money back to kids and to families would’ve been amazing.”
While not many would be willing to gamble like that, the couple believed that the publicity would help increase their sales enough to make the risk worth taking.
This year the risk is just as high, considering that the Eagles are among the top three favorites to win the Super Bowl, with a 10-1 record in Week 13.
