Another P.J. Whelihan's is coming to Delaware County in 2024. We just don't know where yet.

Delaware County’s getting another PJ Whelihan’s Pub but the company isn’t saying where just yet, writes Emma Dooling for Philadelphia Business Journal.

PJW Restaurant Group is opening at least two new restaurants in Greater Philadelphia in 2024, the Delaware County site and another in South Jersey.

There are also plans for a new P.J. Whelihan’s opening on April 1 in the Wynnewood Shopping Center on the Main Line.

The new restaurants will keep the sports bar and restaurant chain on target to meet its annual growth goal for next year.

Another Delaware County location is also planned two years out.

Jim Fris, CEO of the New Jersey-headquartered restaurant group, is holding back on exact locations because the leases haven’t been finalized.

Delaware County’s newest P.J. Whelihan’s opened in the Lawrence Park Shopping Center in Broomall on Nov. 28. A sister restaurant is in Newtown Square.

The chain now has 22 standalone locations and three nontraditional spots at Subaru Park in Chester, Citizens Bank Park in South Philadelphia, and Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City.

The 40-year-old regional chain built its reputation on bar food that includes wings, burgers, sandwiches, and nachos, and on its selection of beer, wine, and cocktails.

Find out more about PJ Whelihan’s future plans in the Philadelphia Business Journal.
