Peddler’s Village in Lahaska, which is currently fully decked out for the holidays, has partnered with the United Way of Bucks County for a toy drive, writes David Matthau for the WHYY.

New, unwrapped toys can be dropped off at the visitor and events center as well as at different restaurants around the village.

“We try to find these…opportunities to give back to our community,” said Jen Burns, communications manager for Peddler’s Village. “We’ve been part of Bucks County for so long, and we welcome so many people from all over.”

The toy drive is one of many campaigns supported by the Bucks County attraction that has been bringing joy to visitors for more than six decades, said Marissa Christie, president and CEO of United Way of Bucks County.

“All of those toys go to our help center, which is almost like a general store where families can come and select the things that they need,” she added. “Everything is brand new. Everything is free of charge.”

The United Way of Bucks County provides support to ALICE – Asset Limited, Income Constraint, Employed – families throughout the entire year.
