Bensalem's Neshaminy Mall will undergo a significant transformation as the former Macy's store will redevelop into a state-of-the-art gym.

Bensalem’s Neshaminy Mall is set to undergo a significant transformation as the former Macy’s store will soon be redeveloped into a state-of-the-art gym and sports facility, writes Michael Tanenbaum for the Philly Voice

Fusion Gyms, a rapidly growing brand with existing locations in Northeast Philly and Fairless Hills, is poised to sign a lease for the 200,000-square-foot property.

The new facility promises to be a hub for sports enthusiasts, featuring two full-sized indoor and outdoor basketball courts, soccer fields, 20 indoor pickleball courts, golf simulators, and a 30,000-square-foot golf course.

Additionally, the gym will encompass 75,000 square feet of indoor space.

West Philly-native Tony Chowdhury, the brain behind Fusion Gyms, aims to make this the flagship location in Bensalem. Having started his journey in New Britain and Runnemede, New Jersey in 2015, Chowdhury is not new to the fitness world. He also owns Relentless, a strength equipment manufacturing company.

Chowdhury’s vision for Fusion Gyms is to offer a blend of luxury and affordability, with current memberships priced at $69. Each location, including the upcoming one in Bensalem, will feature a Fusion Fresh restaurant, offering healthy food options.

The Bensalem project is anticipated to take 14-18 months to complete, with the township showing strong support.
