In a Major Boost for Bucks County Arts Local Groups Secure COVID-Era Program Funding

Several arts groups in Bucks County are seeing robust state funding, thanks to the PA Arts and Culture Recover Program.

Several arts groups in Bucks County are seeing robust state funding, thanks to the PA Arts and Culture Recover Program, according to NewtownPANow.  

The program, funded by the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development was created in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.  

Among the recipients are The Artists of Yardley, which will receive $13,700. The non-profit, founded in 2004, is located at the historic Janney House on Patterson Farm. The center offers classes, workshops, and summer camps.  

The Doylestown-based Bucks County Center for the Performing Arts will get $16, 718. The center, founded by a Juilliard graduate, is a professional theater that provides quality entertainment to the public. The center scouts for budding composers and playwrights and educates up and coming performers, designers, and other talent in its educational programs.  

The Bristol Riverside Theater in Bristol got the most funding at $71, 653.
