The newly opened Aviator Winery is an extension of a farm belonging to Chris Burns’ wife’s family since 1980.

The establishment sits on a one-acre vineyard and is also situated near a half-mile airstrip, which inspired the business’ name.

Sticking to the theme, the wine tasting room is an airplane hangar with pull-down doors that lead to an outdoors area.

The winery also features a seasonal shop that sells gifts, decorations, and jewelry.

Burns undertook the task of winemaking and has since risen to the expertise level of making 1,000 gallons per year from ten different varieties.

Aviator Winery joins eight others on the Bucks County Wine Trail, a non-profit that’s existed since 2004.

It is open through Dec. 24 and will close for the winter until April.
