Ron Jaworski Golf recently hosted the much-anticipated Freedom Day last Saturday, Veterans Day, at Running Deer Golf Club in Pittsgrove, N.J.

The event benefited Folds of Honor and its mission to change the lives of military and first-responder families across America and served as a fundraiser for the nonprofit’s scholarship fund.

During Freedom Week, a week-long celebration that included an online auction, the public was invited to participate and contribute to this noble cause.

Freedom Day featured celebrity hosts Ron Jaworski, the former Philadelphia Eagles quarterback who played 16 seasons in the NFL, and Sal Paolantonio, a national correspondent for ESPN. Paolantonio served in the U.S. Navy from 1978 to 1983 as a surface warfare officer in the Pacific Fleet and was awarded the United Nations Meritorious Service Medal in 1981 for supervising the rescue of Vietnamese refugees in the South China Sea.

More than 100 golfers participated in Freedom Day. Proceeds from the event will support scholarships for the spouses and children of military members and first responders in eastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

“Nothing beats a day out on the green unless you are also raising support for the families of our military members and first responders,” said Jaworski.
