If you are looking for a unique outing through upper Bucks County, take one of the one-of-a-kind private Jeep tours offered by Bucks County Joyrides, writes Emily Scalzo for Visit Bucks County.

The premier tours take passengers on an exciting ride through covered bridges and historical sites as you drive through quaint river towns. The sites are especially beautiful this time of year as you can enjoy colorful fall foliage throughout the scenic ride.

There are four different tour routes available. Those feeling adventurous can add exciting dirt roads and creek crossings to their voyage. Most tours make a short stop at Van Sant Airport.

Bucks County Joyrides has two Jeeps in its fleet currently: a 2005 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited 2-Door called “The General” and a 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited 4-Door called “The Doan Gang.” Jeep and off-road vehicle owners can book a “Drive Your Own Vehicle” option.

All rides start and end at Peddler’s Village and are priced between $130 and $165 per tour, not per person. Each vehicle can accommodate between three and four passengers.

And unless there is bad weather, all tours ride with the top down.
