Between Friends Outreach organized a “Blessing Baskets” drive to collect Thanksgiving baskets for community members in need.

Between Friends Outreach, a Perkasie-based nonprofit, organized a “Blessing Baskets” drive to collect Thanksgiving baskets for community members in need, reports the Bucks County Courier Times.

Between Friends Outreach is dedicated to helping veterans, homeless, domestic abuse victims, and low-income individuals and families in Bucks and Montgomery County.

The drive, organized by Jennifer DeLawter, of Keller Williams Real Estate, asked community members to put together baskets filled with various food and cooking items to provide local families in need with much-needed assistance in preparing their holiday meals.

The volunteer-based organization is aiming to feed 400 families this Thanksgiving, and the community were happy to help it achieve this worthy goal.

David Rink, of Chase Business Bank in Doylestown, was among the many community members who showed up at P.J. Whelihan’s in Doylestown with prepared baskets.

The baskets that were collected during the drive were distributed to the nonprofit’s clients in the Doylestown, Warminster, and Perkasie areas.
