The Southampton lottery ticket is worth $2 million.

A shop in Southampton has sold a major lottery ticket, and now officials are looking for the lucky winner so they can claim their prize.

American News & Tobacco, located at 522 Second Street Pike, sold a lottery ticket, a Powerball with Power Play, worth $2 million this week. for selling the winning ticket, the shop earned a $10,000 bonus.

This is the second time the Southampton shop has sold a winning ticket this year. Last month, the store sold a Cash 5 ticket worth $450,000 and was rewarded with a $500 bonus.

Players can find out if they are lucky enough to have bought a winning ticket by scanning it using the ticket checker at an official lottery retailer or using the Pennsylvania State Lottery mobile app.

Just in the past year, the area has seen multiple winning tickets sold at various venues. Some of them include a $244,00 ticket sold in Middletown back in April, a $50,000 ticket sold in Bensalem back in December, and a $1 million ticket sold in Doylestown in November.
