Forbes: These Billionaires All Have Ties to Philadelphia

The nation’s richest individuals collectively lost about $500 billion last year, but the elite are worth $4.5 trillion, writes Rob LaFranco and Chase Peterson-Withorn for Forbes.

Forbes recently released its “400 Richest People In America” list. 

Pennsylvania was represented throughout the list with 10 entries on the list; some of which have ties to Philadelphia.

Jeff Yass and Arthur Dantchik, the co-founders of Susquehanna International Group, both made it to the list at 28th and 137th, respectively. Their net worths are $28.9 billion and $7.3 billion, respectively. 

Michael Rubin, CEO of Fanatics and a former partner of the Philadelphia 76ers is 61st on the list with a net worth of $11.5 billion.

Philadelphia Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie came 249th on the list with a net worth of $4.6 billion. 

Victoria Mars, former chairwoman of Mars. Incorporated, and current chairwoman of Salzburg Global Seminar, is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania. She is 76th on the list with a 9.7 billion net worth.

Other Pennsylvanians who made the Forbes list are Thomas Hagen, Maggie Hardy, Mary Alice Dorrance Malone, John Middleton, and Thomas Tull.
