Southampton Church Wraps Up Centennial Celebrations with Mass, Gala

Throughout the year, the Bucks County parish organized numerous events to mark its 100-year anniversary.

Our Lady of Good Counsel, located at 611 Knowles Avenue in Southampton, wrapped up its year-long centennial celebration on Sept. 10 with a special mass followed by a gala, according to a staff report from the Catholic Philly.

Our Lady of Good Counsel Centennial Mass Celebration took place at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church and was celebrated by Archbishop Nelson Pérez. He was joined by clergy, religious, and the faithful of the parish.

After the mass, parishioners gathered at Spring Mill Manor in Ivyland for an evening of fellowship and dinner.

Throughout the year, the Bucks County parish organized numerous events to mark its 100-year anniversary, including many food drives, special Church Tours, a dedicated float in the Southampton Fourth of July Parade, and a Parish Picnic.

“We serve the needs of our parish, our community and our world by sharing our gifts of time, talent and treasure,” the church’s website reads.

“We strive to build a strong, personal faith along with commitment and concern for others which will bring others closer to the Lord.”
