Senator Bob Casey visited members of UAW Region 9 in Langhorne to show support and solidarity during the nationwide union strike.

The Pennsylvania politican showed up to see those involved in the strike on Sept. 26.

“We thank him for supporting the UAW men and women holding the line,” the union said online.

Last week, the United Auto Workers Union announced that autoworkers would expand their strike against General Motors and Stellantis to 38 locations across 20 states. The General Motors facility in Langhorne later saw protestors lined outside of the building as a part of the strike.

“As you know, we gave our Members Demands to the company two months ago,” United Auto Workers Union President Shawn Fain said in a statement.

“They wasted a whole month failing to respond. But there has been movement. In particular, we’ve made real progress at Ford. We’re not there yet, but I want you to see the direction that Ford is going, and what we think that means for our contract fight.”
