A nonprofit in Fairless Hills collected a large sum of money to continue aiding community members who are in need.

United Way of Bucks County, headquarted at 413 Hood Boulevard, holds a “Stuff the Bus” fundraiser every year to collect school supplies for local children and other goods for community members. Last week, the organization secured a $10,000 matching gift from the Gene and Marlene Epstein Humanitarian Fund.

“We’re so grateful for the support of the Epsteins and all our generous donors who made this possible,” the organization said online. “We truly couldn’t have done it without you!”

Over 3,355 total children in the county will now have the tools they need to succeed this school year. It also helps fully stock the organization’s HELP Center with school supplies for any additional requests these first few weeks of school.

“Thank you for filling backpacks and hearts across Bucks County!”
