Local Philanthropists Offer to Match Donations for Fairless Hills Nonprofit’s Initiative
Two philanthropists from Bucks County are offering residents the chance to see their donations doubled to help local children.
Gene and Marlene Epstein, who are known for their philanthropic efforts in the Bucks County area, are offering a dollar-for-dollar match of up to $10,000 through Aug. 25 for United Way of Bucks County’s Stuff the Bus drive. The annual initiative works to ensure that local students have access to the school supplies they need to succeed in school.
“If we can secure this match, we’ll be able to serve every child on our list,” the organization said online. “Every contribution counts, so let’s join forces and make a difference for kids in need.”
Back in 2021, the nonprofit was able to donate over 3,000 backpacks to local students in need. The organization is also looking to stockpile supplies to have when students require more school items. Donations such as these can make a huge difference in the quality of a child’s education.
