Those who are looking to work to keep Bucks County safe will have the opportunity to apply for a lucrative career this month.

PennDOT Engineering District 6 will host a hiring event for Bucks County Maintenance on Aug. 15, from 9 AM – 2 PM. The event will be held at PennDOT’s Bucks County Maintenance Facility at 6160 Potters Lane in Pipersville.

“Like many industries, PennDOT District 6 is understaffed, and four of the five county maintenance units (Bucks, Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery) are experiencing an average personnel vacancy rate of 39 percent, which impacts operations and response times for some maintenance concerns,” officials from Solebury Township said online.

Those interested in applying do not have to be a Buck County resident to apply.

“For positions that require a Commercial Driver’s License, PennDOT will conduct on-the-spot interviews for CDL operators. Driving tests will also be administered the same day, if available.”

This will be a great opportunity for those looking to begin a fulfilling career.
