This will be the second to last event this year.

A high school in Bucks County will be helping local residents dispose of hazardous materials later this week.

Bucks County Technical High School, located at 610 Wistar Road in Fairless Hills, will be hosting a Household Hazardous Waste Collection event on Aug. 12 at 8:30 AM. The event is rain or shine and does not require registration.

“People coming to the event can bring up to 25 gallons or 220 pounds of hazardous products, including pesticides, flammables and batteries. Electronics, latex paint and appliances are among the items that will not be accepted,” the Bucks County Government said online.

Household Hazardous Waste Collections in Bucks are sponsored by the Bucks County Commissioners and the Bucks County Planning Commission. Those with questions can contact the Bucks County Planning Commission via email at planningcommission@buckscounty.org or by phone at 215-345-3400.

Another event will be held on Oct. 28 at Strayer Middle School in Quakertown. That will be the final event of the year.
